Husky begins production at Liuhua 34-2

Husky Energy began production at its Liuhua 34-2 gas field in the eastern South China Sea.

The Liuhua 34-2 gas field is in a water depth range of 850-1250m. The gas field consists of one producing well and shares the existing facilities of Liwan 3-1 gas field for overall development. The gas field is producing approximately 30MMcf/d and expected to reach its ODP designed peak production of approximately 45MMcf/d in 2015.

Husky Oil China is the operator of the Liuhua 34-2 gas field with a 49% interest with partner CNOOC (51%).
