Maersk Integrator to drill at Gina Krog

Statoil received consent from the Petroleum Safety Authority to use the Maersk Integrator jackup to drill and complete 14 new production wells at Gina Krog.

Gina Krog is an oil and gas discovery situated around 250km west of Stavanger and 30km northwest of the Sleipner A facility. Water depth at the site is about 110m. The development concept is a new steel platform and an oil storage vessel with a capacity of 850,000 bbl.

The field was proven in 1974. The reservoir contains oil and gas in Middle Jurassic sandstone in the Hugin formation.

Maersk Integrator is a jackup drilling facility, delivered by the Keppel Shipyard in Singapore in 2014. The facility will be operated by Maersk Drilling Norge.
