Statoil gets Maria field modification consent

Statoil has received consent for modifications at Kristin and Tyrihans in connection with tie-in of the Maria field.

Kristin is a gas condensate field at Haltenbanken in the Norwegian Sea. Statoil is the operator of the field, which has been developed using a subsea facility tied back to a semi-submersible processing facility.

Statoil has applied for consent for the modifications necessary to allow the Maria field to be tied to the Kristin facility. Maria is an oil and gas field operated by Wintershall Norge.

The modifications also comprise equipment on the Kristin facility for the tie-in of oil and gas from the Tyrihans field, which is operated by Statoil.
