The award is part of Statoil’s Marine Wave 2 program and means that Ocean Installer will continue playing a key role in the Johan Sverdrup subsea works, initiated under the Marine Wave 1 umbrella. The complete work scope encompasses umbilical installation at Johan Sverdrup, Bauge and Utgard, as well as spools, cover, tie-in and manifold installation at Utgard.

Offshore operations will take place in 2019 and Ocean Installer will utilize a combination of the construction support vessels Normand Vision and Normand Reach.

“Ocean Installer is conducting widespread work for Statoil under the Marine Wave 1 program this year and we are truly pleased to have been selected as a key contractor also for the second phase of this Statoil scheme in 2019,” says Ocean Installer CEO Steinar Riise.

Project management and engineering will be based at Ocean Installer’s headquarters in Stavanger and start with immediate effect.
