Roxtec releases non-weld seal

Published

Roxtec, a manufacturer of cable and pipe seals, has launched the Roxtec SPM seal.

The light-weight, non-weld seal can be used with metal pipe onboard marine or offshore structures to provide protection against fire, gas, and water.

The Roxtec SPM seal is made of EPDM rubber and acid-proof stainless steel fittings. It is certified for A-class fire rated divisions, to 1 bar water pressure, and to 0.67 bar gas pressure.

Installation can be performed from only one side of steel decks or bulkheads and indicators show when full compression is achieved. The Roxtec SPM seal maintains a seal around the metal pipe as well as inside uneven or irregular openings.

Available in 16 sizes, each seal offers an inward tolerance of 4mm round the metal pipe as well as an outward tolerance towards the inside of the opening.
