SBM Offshore shows its fleet of floating production and storage offloading (FPSO) vessels and operations offshore Brazil, in particular its Brasa yard in Niteroi (near Rio de Janiero). OE profiled the yard in 2013.

The company’s latest FPSO, Cidade de Saquarema, started production for Brazil's state-owned firm Petrobras last week (12 July) at the giant Lula field. Production at the first well, 8-LL-81D-RJS, began on 8 July with a stabilized rate of 30,000 b/d as of 11 July.

The Cidade de Saquarema is capable of processing 150,000 bbl, compressing up to 6 MMcm/d of natural gas, and is currently moored in 2120m water depth.
