UDS Lines Up Work for Ultra Deep Matisse

Singapore-based Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS) said it has signed the newbuild dive support vessel Ultra Deep Matisse to a long term contract for a major EPC player. The contract is said to be worth between $50 million to $250 million.

The 143-meter Matisse is an DP3 vessel with a 24-man saturation system and twin bell capabilities. The vessel, built by the China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) shipyard, will be delivered to the customer in the second quarter of 2020.

Ultra Deep Solutions CEO Shel Hutton, said, “[The contract award] show’s once again the quality of vessels that Ultra Deep Solutions are building to bring to the market for our end clients.
