Emerson said it has launched Roxar RMS 11.1, the latest version of its reservoir modeling software., designed to enhance workflow automation and ease of use. This version provides a range of powerful technologies for building and visualizing high-quality reservoir models, using automated workflows that allow users to obtain superior results with less effort.
According to its developer, RMS 11.1 make it easy to set up, run and assess fully automated workflows in a wide variety of configurations. Flexible and intuitive visualization capabilities significantly enhance RMS as a solution spanning geological interpretation and structural modeling, through reservoir modeling, all the way to reservoir engineering.
New technologies enable the user to build high-quality models. These include high-performance solutions for modeling channelized reservoirs, defining regions in a unified and consistent manner, and automating structural modeling in highly faulted reservoirs. RMS also offers excellent support for the preparation of dynamic data for flow simulation, particularly when addressing branched multilateral wells and advanced completions. Additionally, the Roxar API and plug-in framework allows for customization and speedy innovation, Emerson said.
