Oceaneering wins umbilicals supply off Angola

Oceaneering has picked up an umbilicals supply contract for the Kizomba Satellites Phase 2 development offshore Angola, the company announced on 19 December 2012.

ExxonMobil subsidiary Esso Exploration Angola awarded the contract for which Oceaneering will supply 43km of electro-hydraulic steel tube control umbilicals.

The cables will be used to transmit hydraulic control fluids, chemicals and electrical power signals to operate and monitor subsea wells and manifolds for the Bavuca, Kakocha, and Mondo South fields in Block 15. Both Bavuca and Kakocha umbilicals will tie back to the Kizomba B FPSO; Mondo South will tie back to the Mondo FPSO (pictured).

The umbilical manufacturing is slated to begin 3Q 2013 at Oceaneering's Panama City, Florida, facility.
