Nearshore Mexico seismic completed

Searcher Seismic has completed acquisition of the Buscador Near-Shore 2D Seismic Survey, offshore Mexico.

The Buscador Near-Shore 2D Seismic Survey was acquired by Searcher’s project partner, BGP and comprises 11,200km of long-offset, newly acquired 2D data specifically targeting the near shore areas covering rounds 2, 3 and 4.

The data is currently being processed by DownUnder GeoSolution’s (DUG), with fast track data available from December, and final data deliverable next year.

The survey is located in shallower water depths, which in this “low oil-price environment” is advantageous, says Searcher.

To further complement the 2D regional survey, offshore Mexico, Searcher has developed a multi-client Basin Analysis Report of Mexico, the US and surrounds, which is available now to assist companies with their exploration efforts in the area.
