Lundin to drill Alta appraisal with Leiv Eiriksson

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Lundin Norway a drilling permit the Alta appraisal well 7220/11-4 in the Barents Sea.

Well 7220/11-4 in production license 609 will be drilled from the Leiv Eiriksson drilling facility.

The area in this license consists of the blocks/part of blocks 7220/6, 7220/9, 7220/11, 7220/12 and 7221/4. The well will be drilled about 2km south of the discovery well 7220/11-1, also in production license 609.

Lundin Norway is the operator with 40% interest. Partners include Idemitsu Petroleum Norge (30 %) and DEA Norge (30%).
