Ruche FPSO plan approved

A plan to develop the Ruche fields in the Duffafu license offshore Gabon using a floating production, storage and offloading vessel has been approved by the country’s authorities.

The project, operated by Harvest Natural Resources, will see the Ruche A (formally Ruche), Ruche B (Tortue), Ruche C (Moubenga) and Ruche D (Walt Whitman) discoveries all developed as subsea wells tied back to an FPSO.

Front end engineering design (FEED) studies are underway, and once completed a final investment decision (FID) will be taken by the Dussafu partners, said partner Panoro Energy. FID is scheduled to be made in early Q1-15 and, based on the project schedule, production is expected to start in Q4 2016.

Harvest holds 66.667% interest in the Dussafu Marin permit alongside Panoro, with 33.3%.
