AGR secures multi-client drilling campaign

AGR announced it will coordinate a multi-well, multi-client drilling campaign on behalf of four international operators. The expected revenue from AGR engagement is $22 million (NOK 130 million).

The company will provide well project management and operational support on behalf of RWE Dea Norge AS, Lundin Norway AS, Norwegian Energy Company ASA and Repsol Exploration Norge AS.

The semi-submersible Bredford Dolphin rig has been contracted from Dolphin Drilling AS to undertake the drilling activity, which is expected to start in October next year and has an estimated firm duration of 570 days for the eight Wells firm program.

AGR's Sjur Talstad, EVP of Norway and Russia, said: "We are very pleased to be able to coordinate this drilling program on behalf of the four operators. These are significant contracts for AGR and reflect the operators' trust in our team's proven skills and experience.

"The success of AGR's previous Bredford Dolphin drilling campaign operations, as well as the ongoing Borgland Dolphin campaign, demonstrates that we are well positioned to deliver such a complex and far reaching project."

The drilling campaign may be extended by an additional four Wells before the end of June 2013, plus another five Wells or more could be added before the commencement date.
