Lund joins BG month early

Former Statoil CEO Helge Lund has officially started his new role as CEO and executive director at BG Group - a month ahead of his planned start date.

Andrew Gould, who has been serving as interim Executive Chairman of BG Group since April 2014, when Chris Finlayson resigned from the job after about a year in the role, will return to his role as Non-Executive Chairman with effect from 9 February 2015.

Last week, Eldar Sætre was announced as Lund's official replacement as CEO at Statoil, after serving as interim CEO since October - and saying he did not want the permanent role.

Gould was the former CEO and Chairman of Schlumberger.
