Sevan delivers Teekay's first flotel

Teekay Offshore Partners has taken delivery of its first floating accommodation vessel, the Arendal Spirit, from Cosco's Nantong yard.

The unit, a Sevan Marine cylindrical design, has accommodation for 500 people. A further two vessels are on order, for delivery in 2015 and 2016. 

The Arendal Spirit is due to work for Petrobras offshore Brazil on a three-year contract.

Sevan will receive US$10 million within six month of this delivery.
