Rapp Marine delivering 150-tonne crane

Rapp Marine will deliver its largest engineered crane for one of Otto Candies’ vessels.

The 150-tonne active heave compensation (AHC) crane will be capable of lifting 150-tonne at 17m, and will be certified by Lloyd’s registry. It will be equipped with a winch capable of storing 3100m of 77mm wire rope and the crane will be fully outfitted for subsea operation.

Rapp Marine plans on this crane being the first of many cranes capable of lifting heavy loads for offshore vessels in the Gulf of Mexico and around the world.
