Swire develops range subsea baskets

Published

Swire Oilfield Services has developed a new range of subsea baskets in response to the rise in demand from their customers to support their subsea operations.

A team of in-house product development experts and engineers explored the challenges their customers were facing with existing subsea baskets which included corrosion, ROV accessibility, water ingress, seabed suction, deck handling, onshore handling and storage.

These issues were addressed during the design phase along with input from certification bodies.

The result was the development of three subsea baskets to meet the various operational needs and designed to operate at any water depth.

Each design has now been added to the company’s standard rental fleet and is available across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.
