Published

Norway's Odfjell Drilling and Metro Exploration have put the Deepsea Metro II ultra deepwater drillship up for sale.

The two firms, which own the drillship through their shares in Deep Sea Metro, which owns Deepsea Metro II owner Chloe Marine Corp., have appointed Pareto Offshore as an exclusive broker for the sale of the vessel.

The ultra deepwater drillship, Deepsea Metro II, is a Gusto P10000 design delivered by Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea in 2011.

The ship is designed for operations in water depths up to 10,000ft deep and could be upgraded to 12,000ft.

It is currently "ready stacked" in Curacao in the Caribbean, having last worked for Petrobras under a contract which ended 4Q 2014.
