OGA tenders for latest seismic program

Published

The UK Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) has invited seismic companies to tender for its 2016-2017 UK Government funded seismic acquisition and processing program.

The contract will cover survey work over South West Britain, including the Celtic Sea, Western English Channel, and Irish Sea, as well as the East Shetland Platform.

These areas were selected after consultation with industry.

A separate invitation to tender for legacy seismic data reprocessing will be issued at a later date following a successful seismic survey of the Rockall Trough and Mid-North Sea High areas completed in 2015.

The project delivered about 40,000 km of new and legacy data which was published under the Open Government License and available for download on 31 March 2016.

In addition, three separate invitation to tenders are open for regional and field support engineering services, subsurface studies and reservoir evaluation services and geoscience project services. These contracts will replace the current Oil & Gas Maximising Recovery Programme contracts and will be three years in duration.
