API's Milito to speak at Deepwater Intervention Forum

Erik Milito, director of upstream and industry operations, American Petroleum Institute (API), will serve as the first keynote speaker at the 12th Annual Deepwater Intervention Forum (DIF) in Galveston, Texas, on 10 August 2016.

Milito’s work covers regulatory and legislative matters related to domestic exploration and production, including access to domestic oil and natural gas resources both onshore and offshore. 

Prior to his current position, Milito served as managing counsel covering a host of legal issues, including oil and gas leasing, royalty, environmental, fuels, transportation, safety, and civil justice reform.  Milito has testified numerous times before Senate and House committees on energy issues, and has published various articles on US energy development.   

The Deepwater Intervention Forum, held 9-11 August at the Galveston Island Convention Center, is geared towards subsea well intervention. At the conference, a first-hand look at emerging and proven technologies will be presented that offer solutions to low-cost, innovative solutions.  

Milito is scheduled to deliver his keynote address on the morning of 10 August at 8:20 a.m.
