Cross Group, Fugro win GoM P&A gig

The Cross Group Subsea Solutions Division, together with Fugro Drilling & Well Services, has been awarded a multi-well riser-based plug and abandonment campaign in the Gulf of Mexico, which commenced May 2015.

The Cross Group is managing the program, and providing its CROSS 7.0 workover riser package and operators on Fugro’s purpose-built MODU-class vessel, M/V Fugro Synergy.

The M/V Fugro Synergy was purpose-built with top tension capabilities for tophole construction, geo-hazard investigation, live well intervention and P&A operations.  The vessel is noted for efficient fuel consumption and for safe and efficient operations.

The vessel draft allows effective mobilizations out of Port Fourchon. Louisiana.

The Cross Group, has successfully completed over 40 subsea live well interventions and abandonments in the past five years.
