CNOOC starts at Weizhou

CNOOC Ltd. started production at the Weizhou 6-9/6-10 comprehensive adjustment project in the South China Sea.

The Weizhou field is in the Beibu Gulf at about 35m water depth.

In addition to fully utilizing the existing facilities of Weizhou 6-9/6-10, this adjustment project has also built one wellhead platform. There is currently one producing well producing approximately 850 bo/d.

The adjustment project is expected to reach its ODP designed peak production of approximately 3800 bo/d in 2018.

CNOOC is the operator and holds 100% in Weizhou 6-9/6-10.
