Searcher expands PNG seismic

Published

Searcher Seismic started the acquisition of the 11,000km Hahonua 2D Seismic Survey offshore Papua New Guinea.

This new acquisition, in partnership with BGP, increases Searcher's total seismic data library in the region to over 70,000km.

In addition, Searcher and Gardline have initiated a multi-beam and coring survey; the Davaria Geochemical Survey, covering the entire Gulf of Papua to identify and analyze hydrocarbon seeps.

“Papua New Guinea continues to be an area of high interest for our clients and these two new projects, when combined with our existing coverage, will provide a unique and comprehensive exploration tool for the entire offshore Gulf of Papua”, said Rachel Masters, global sales manager for Searcher Seismic.
