Seychelles extension for WHL

Published

Australian exploration firm WHL Energy is to apply for an amendment to its petroleum agreement with Seychelles petroleum industry regulator PetroSeychelles, leading to renewed farm-out talks.

The proposed amendment is an extension to agreed work program commitments, including recently agreed amendments to a proposed 3D seismic acquisition program.

WHL says it will now renew a farmout campaign on its Seychelles holdings and is already in discussions with potential partners.

WHL’s Seychelles acreage covers 17,345sq km. WHL says it has identified 10, approximately 200MM bbl potential targets in the area, mostly in less than 50m water depth.
