ROVOP Names Lamont Non-executive Director

Remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) services provider ROVOP announced the appointment of David Lamont as a non-executive director.

Lamont has over 35 years of industry experience in the oil and gas sector. After starting his career at Schlumberger where he worked for 18 years, he has held a number of senior management roles, most recently as the CEO of global energy services company Proserv.

ROVOP CEO Steven Gray said, “David is a highly respected figure in the international oil and gas industry. He joins us at an exciting time of growth and we are in no doubt that his dynamism and experience in growing businesses in the subsea sector will prove invaluable.

“David will play a key role in supporting the evolution of our market proposition and organisational development, as we deliver on our plans to create a leading provider of subsea ROV services to the global energy industry.”

Lamont has lived and worked in many parts of the world including the U.K., Continental Europe, Russia, West Africa, Australia and the Far East. A dual Australian and British citizen, he holds a BE (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Australia.
