Based in Aberdeen, Lestrange joins Ashtead from HCS Control Systems, where he held the position of chief executive officer and developed the business as a service-led subsea manufacturing company, expanding its customer base locally and internationally. Prior to his role at HCS Control Systems, he was a founding partner of Frontrow Energy Partners, and held a number of senior and technical positions at Expro Group, including head of subsea.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Lestrange began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1992, when he joined Woodside Offshore Petroleum as a graduate engineer.

Founded in 1985, Ashtead Technology is an independent subsea equipment solutions specialist providing rental and sale of survey and ROV equipment, engineered measurement solutions, offshore personnel, training, calibration, repair and maintenance and asset management solutions.
