Vår Energi Extends Stril Luna Contract

Norwegian oil and gas company Vår Energi and compatriot offshore support vessels provider Simon Møkster Shipping AS have agreed to extend the charter of the Stril Luna platform supply vessel (PSV).

A press release from Simon Møkster said that the contract for the vessel was extended by another 12 months. This means that the vessel will stay with Vår Energi from August 2019 until August 2020.

The vessel will primarily continue its service as pool vessel for Vår Energi in the Southern regions of the North Sea, said the release.

"Simon Møkster Shipping AS is proud to be able to extend the period of more than twenty years of continuous service to Vår Energi (ex ExxonMobil and ex Point Resources)," it said.

Stril Luna is a high spec PSV including NOFO 2009 and Standby services built in 2014. The initial contract for the PSV  Stril Luna was awarded by Point Resources in September 2018, before its merger with Eni Norge into Vår Energi.
