Riser replacement

riser replacement

The first of several riser replacements for Statoil on the Norwegian continental shelf was successfully completed recently by Emas AMC using the construction vessel AMC Connector. This one took place on Snorre B and the Emas AMC contract requires similar riser recovery and installation work on other NCS floaters. Engineering and planning for the Snorre B job began in January and the offshore operations took place in March. ‘We are looking forward to successfully completing the work on the rest of the floating platforms,’ said Svein Haug, the contractor’s regional boss for Europe and Africa.
