BP picks FMC for subsea supply

FMC to deliver subsea gear starting 1H 2013

BP has chosen FMC Technologies to manufacture and supply subsea equipment to support water injection in its Thunder Horse field, FMC announced on 4 February 2013. The contract's value was undisclosed.

The contract's scope calls for the supply of two manifolds and associated controls equipment. FMC will also provide pipeline end terminations, flowline and well jumper kits, and umbilical termination assemblies. The equipment will be delivered beginning 1H 2013.

Thunder Horse field is located 150 miles southeast of New Orleans in 6,300 ft of water.
