Allan Denholm joins Zilift

Aberdeen-based innovative artificial lift company, Zilift Ltd, has appointed a business development manager to focus on global business opportunities and to help drive forward international growth plans.

Allan Denholm is responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities and driving growth. He joins the company after accumulating 23 years’ experience within the oil and gas sector.

Zilift’s core business is in the development of advanced artificial lift methods based on permanent magnet motors and a portfolio of associated patents for the oil and gas industry.

Iain Maclean, CEO of ZiLift said: “Allan joins the company at a very exciting time, as 2013 will see Zilift’s TorqueDriveTM installed in a major oil and gas operator's well in Bakersfield California for field trials.

“As a business development manager for Zilift, Allan will be working to shape the expansion of the company’s strategy by analysing the market and advising Zilift directors of development opportunities. He will also work to initiate and develop business relationships with existing and potential clients. His expertise will be invaluable towards achieving our plans for international expansion in the coming years.”

Prior to joining Zilift, Mr Denholm worked for Expro AX-S for over three years where he held the position of project manager and latterly a technical director specialising in subsea well intervention. For thirteen years he worked at PES and WellDynamics where he focused on new technologies through intelligent completion systems.

With extensive experienced in all aspects of completion technology from project management through to installation and sustaining, Mr Denholm said: “Zilift is at the forefront of advanced artificial lift technology and on the cusp of global development, it is a great time to become part of this highly skilled team.”

Mr Denholm will be based at Zilift’s head office in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. New key appointments are amongst a number of initiatives being taken by Zilift to ensure the business meets its on-going strategy for international growth.

Since its launch in 2009, Zilift has continued to increase its staff numbers and this year Zilift aims to increase employee numbers from 30 to 37, and increase turnover from £668,000 to £2.5million.
