Published

Jack-up barge provider Gulf Marine Services is building its third E-Class jack-up vessel, GMS Enterprise, it has announced.

The vessel will add to GMS’ two existing E-Class units, GMS Endeavour and GMS Endurance.

GMS Enterprise will be built at the company’s quayside facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Hull fabrication is underway and the barge will be ready for new contracts in Q3, 2014.

The modified Gusto jack-up’s design, jacking system and outfitting will be completed by GMS’ in house team and local labour force in Abu Dhabi. Deck machinery includes a 400-ton main crane and a 60-ton auxiliary hoist. GMS Enterprise will be able to operate in 85m water depth.
