SeaBird wins new 2D seismic deals

Norway-based SeaBird Exploration announced that its Osprey Explorer vessel was awarded a contract in South America with a major oil company. 

The US $9million contract is expected to last about75 days and will commence in March.

The Osprey Explorer is a 2D seismic acquisition vessel that SeaBird has operated since 2006.

The company has also been awarded a contract for a 2d seismic survey for its Voyager Explorer with a national oil company in the Asia Pacific region.

The contract has an estimated duration of about 20 days and an estimated value of about $2 million.  Startup for the survey is expected around the middle of March.
