Gall Thomson announced it has opened a state-of-the-art technology center in the UK. The center, which is part of the company’s ongoing growth strategy, will be used for the design, production, refurbishment and testing of marine breakaway couplings.

The technology center is located in Great Yarmouth UK and contains the latest in assembly line and design technology. The center is part of a comprehensive investment program designed to substantially increase and consolidate Gall Thomson’s technical and commercial position.

The Gall Thomson marine breakaway coupling protects assets, personnel and the environment by separating and closing the flow of product through an offshore hose transfer system in the event of an emergency.

As a result of this investment and increasing global sales, the Gall Thomson design and sales engineer teams have more than doubled in the last six months. The technology center is therefore an important development in the enhancement of Gall Thomson capabilities.
