Stanford Mustang delivered

Stanford Marine announced that its news anchor handling tug, the Stanford Mustang, has been delivered.

The Stanford Mustang, a 50m DP2 tug, was specially designed to handle a specific charter in Qatar and was built at Fujian Mawei shipyard in Fuzhou, China. Stanford Mustang has a special low air draft to facilitate its ability to transit beneath the low bridges encountered at offshore facilities and has a bollard pull in excess of 60T.

The vessel is now on the way to Dubai, and will then head to Qatar to commence employment on a five-year contract awarded in 2012. During the construction of the Stanford Mustang, the Stanford Pride was utilized for this charter after it was completely rebuilt and upgraded to DP1, the company said.
