Nordic Maritime wins US$70 million Noble contract

Noble Energy awarded Nordic Maritime a US$70 million, five-year contract for its DP2 IMR subsea vessel, Mokul Nordic.

The vessel will be performing ROV operations as well as environmental and field development surveys during the five year charter period for Noble.

Nordic Maritime says the Mokul Nordic will complete the charter with the Statoil on 1 November 2014, and will immediately mobilize to the Mediterranean to start the long-term charter with Noble Energy

Mokul Nordic is specially customized and equipped to perform IMR/ROV work. The vessel has a 100-tonne active heave compensated offshore knuckle-boom crane and built-in swell compensation systems to 2000m of water depth.

Compliant with SPS 2008 Code & Clean and Comfort class notation, Mokul Nordic can accommodate 60 people, offers full cargo deck capacity, and logistical support to extend full usage flexibility.
