The patented IRIS is an ROV-compatible, fully integrated, multi-functional system that streamlines subsea interventions, successfully completing numerous open-water wireline runs.

“At this point, we are chasing our own accomplishments. With each new project, the team and IRIS push the boundaries of subsea intervention to help our customers increase recovery and reduce costs,” says Neil Crawford, president and co-founder of Blue Ocean. “We understand the value of breaking records, but the success our customers experience on their wells is far more important in the long run.”

Blue Ocean Technologies continues to lead the industry in deepwater riserless intervention, setting and shattering their own record-breaking depth achievements, including 2950ft in 2009, 4300ft in 2012 and 6700ft in July of this year.

Each project represents a new industry record for riserless intervention. This project marks the first time that wireline has been successfully run in open water at 8200ft.
