Lundin gets consent for Barents drilling

The Norway Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has granted Lundin Norway consent to drill exploration well 7220/6-2 in the Barents Sea in a prospect called Neiden.

Lundin is the operator for production license 609 in block 7220/6 in the Barents Sea.

Drilling is scheduled to begin in mid-August 2015 at the earliest and estimated to last 40 days.

The well is to be drilled by Odfjell Drilling's Island Innovator semisubmersible drilling facility.
