Louisiana-based LLOG Exploration’s Delta House floating production system (FPS) achieved its nameplate oil capacity of 80,000 b/d in the Gulf of Mexico during the last days of 2015.

Delta House is located in Mississippi Canyon 254, approximately 130mi southeast of New Orleans at 4500ft water depth.

The FPS nameplate capacity includes 50% redundancy of key rotating equipment, LLOG said.

Delta House is designed for a peak capacity of 100,000 b/d and 240 MMcf/d of natural gas with no redundancy of key rotating equipment.

The privately owned oil producer also recently brought the ninth well into production several weeks ahead of schedule, with plans to bring two additional wells on production to the Delta House in 2016.

“The startup and ramp up of the Delta House FPS has gone exceptionally well,” Scott Gutterman, LLOG president and CEO said. “The FPS uptime has averaged in excess of 99% since production was initiated which we believe is best in class for similarly sized facilities.”

The Delta House FPS was built, installed, and put online in three years. First production was achieved in April 2015. LLOG expects Delta House to accommodate up to 20 risers and up to nine fields with dual flowlines.

Before Delta House, LLOG brought its first FPS online, the Who Dat, which began production in 2011.
