Aqualis Offshore lands BorWin3 gig

Aqualis Offshore has been contracted by Petrofac to perform technical support services for its work on the BorWin gamma topside that is destined for the North Sea. 

The scope of work includes preparation of technical specifications for the supply of the leg mating units and deck support units, technical support during the procurement process, review of engineering documents from suppliers, and monitoring of the various stages of the fabrication process. Aqualis Offshore’s Singapore office will perform the work. 

A consortium between Siemens and Petrofac has been contracted by TenneT to design, build and install a 900 MW Offshore HVDC converter platform BorWin gamma topside (within the project BorWin3 which comprises the complete grid connection: converter at  sea and on land and the cable as well). The converter platform will be installed in the German Exclusive Economic Zone in the North Sea, 130km off the coast at 40m water depth.
