Prosafe takes delivery of Safe Notos

Published

Prosafe has taken delivery of the Safe Notos on 4 February 2016 as part of its fleet renewal strategy. Safe Notos is a semisubmersible accommodation vessel. The vessel is of Gusto MSC’s Ocean 500 design and will be equipped with 500 beds, DP3 station keeping systems, 10-point chain mooring and 300-tonne cranes. Delivery on time and on budget, 26.5 months after contract signing.

In connection with the delivery, Prosafe has drawn US$144 million of its committed credit facility. The final delivery installment was reduced by $29 million, by way of a seller’s credit from Cosco (Qidong) Offshore Co., repayable in a single payment by 31 December 2016, which results in increased liquidity for the company.
