Cross Group wins Trinidad gig

The Cross Group has won a contract to assist in pulling five flexible flowlines and an umbilical, with a maximum expected load of 44-tonne, onto a jacketed platform.

The work will be performed using one of Cross Group’s Hepburn 83-MPE-1602 single drum winch systems in 360ft water depth off the southeast coast of Trinidad in the East Mayaro Block.

The project is scheduled to mobilize Q4 2016 and be completed Q1 2017.

“We’ve safely executed a number of projects off the coast of Trinidad over the years, and are extremely excited to have earned the opportunity to go back, once more, and work with our client on this project,” said Heath Jones, Cross Group vice president.
