Canada-headquartered engineering group SNC-Lavalin, which recently acquired engineering house Atkins, has signed a framework agreement with Shell to provide pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for modular options on Shell's projects.

SNC-Lavalin says the agreement represents a significant milestone for the firm in the development of industry standard pre-engineered solutions with a major international oil company.

The scopes of work under this agreement will be executed from three centers of excellence in Singapore, Houston and Dubai.

"This framework agreement further underpins our production and processing solutions globally. Our experienced team can help our clients reduce costs and delivery timelines through our pre-engineered modular solutions." said Christian Brown, President of SNC-Lavalin's Oil & Gas sector.
