Saipem appoints new CEO

At the Saipem general shareholders’ meeting on 30 April 2015, the current board of directors appointed Stefano Cao as CEO.

Cao’s appointment grants him the powers to manage the company, with the exception of the specific responsibilities that are reserved for the board of directors and those that are not to be delegated according to the current legislation. Also during the meeting, the 2015 to 2017 board of directors was appointed, followed by the appointment of Paolo Andrea Colombo as chairman. 

The board appointment, confirmed at nine, will serve from 2015 to 2017. Six appointments come from Eni, with 42.924% ordinary share capital: Paolo Andrea Colombo, Stefano Cao, Maria Elena Cappello, Francesco Antonion Ferrucci, Flavia Mazzarella, and Stefano Sirgusa. Three appointments come from the shareholders, with 1.015% ordinary share capital: Guido Guzzetti, Nicla Picchi, and Federico Ferro-Luzzi.
