Côte d’Ivoire to offer new concessions

Daniel Kablan Duncan, PM of Ivory Coast 2014The Republic of Côte d’Ivoire will offer new petroleum exploration concessions, delineating new offshore blocks in deep and ultradeep water of the Côte d’Ivoire sedimentary basin. The details will be presented on 14 October, in Houston, Texas.

The Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire, His Excellency Daniel Kablan Duncan (offical portrait at right), will open the offshore roadshow, and Petroleum and Energy Minister, the Honourable Adama Toungara, will present opportunities for petroleum exploration.

The Minister of Economy and Finance, the Minister of Industry and Mines, and senior executives of the DGH and Petroci will also be present.

In addition to announcing the new Block delineations, government representatives will discuss the hydrocarbon potential, legal and fiscal framework, and the general business environment in Côte d’Ivoire.

The oil and gas industry in Côte d’Ivoire is managed by Petroci, Société Nationale d'Opérations Petrolière de Cote d'Ivoire.

Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) is working with the Petroleum and Energy Ministry and Petroci to coordinate the event.
