Technip bags Greater Enfield EPC work

Technip has won am engineering, procurement, installation and pre-commissioning contract from Australia's Woodside for the Greater Enfield Project.

Greater Enfield is 60km off Exmouth in Western Australia in 340-850m water depth. The reserves in the area will be produced via a 31km subsea tie-back to the Ngujima-Yin FPSO facility, located over the Vincent oil field.

Technip has been contracted for EPIC on:

  • 38.9km of umbilicals (dynamic and static);

  • multi-phase pump system (transport and installation).

Technip is the latest contractor to win a contract on the project. OneSubsea has a contract to supply a subsea production system and a dual multiphase boosting system. OneSubsea contracted Nexans for supply of umbilicals and accessories. Singapore's Keppel and Aibel have been been contracted to perform modifications and upgrade work on the FPSO Ngujima-Yin

Technip’s operating center in Perth, Australia will execute the contract with support from Technip’s Asia Pacific Subsea Hub in the Kuala Lumpur office in Malaysia, and office in Chennai, India.

The Group will leverage its unique subsea integrated approach from fabrication to installation:

  • the flexible pipes will be manufactured in Asiaflex Products, Technip’s manufacturing plant in Tanjung Langsat, Johor, Malaysia,
  • the umbilicals will be supplied by Technip Umbilicals’ facility located in Newcastle, UK.
