Russia’s Sovcomflot (SCF) will redeliver the seismic survey vessel Vyacheslav Tikhonov to  the offshore geophysical company Polarcus in November 2019.

Polarcus in a statement  refers to its announcement dated 10 June 2019 describing an extension of the bareboat charter for Vyacheslav Tikhonov, originally named Polarcus Selma including a redelivery option exercisable with effect from completion of the ‘charter-back’ for the wide-azimuth project (announced on 3 June 2019).

SCF has exercised this option and the Company currently expects the vessel to be redelivered in November 2019 following completion of the wide-azimuth project in the Americas.

The operator of a fleet of seismic research vessels worldwide said that it is discussing a number of potential projects with customers and will explore opportunities for the vessel after redelivery.

Polarcus operates a fleet of high performance seismic vessels with 3D and 4D imaging capabilities, which incorporate leading-edge maritime technologies for improved safety and efficiency.
