GulfSlope Hires Ensco Rowan Rig

Houston-based oil and gas company GulfSlope Energy has executed a drilling services contract with Ensco Offshore Company, a subsidiary of EnscoRowan, to secure and utilize the Ensco 102 jack-up rig.

The U.S. Gulf of Mexico focused independent oil firm said it anticipates spudding a well earlier than year-end within the Vermilion Area, South Addition Block 375 (Corvette prospect).

The Exploration Plan for this block was authorised March 15, 2019, with an amended plan at present below assessment with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.

The E-102 is a excessive specification Keppel FELS, Enhanced, MOD V “A” Class, Harsh Environment jackup rig that may drill to 30,000 feet.
