Hurricane Spuds Warwick Deep

Wednesday, April 17, 2019

UK based oil and gas company Hurricane Energy announced on Wednesday it has spudded its first well at Warwick Deep, west of Shetland.

The 205/26b-C well was spudded on Tuesday evening using the Transocean Leader drilling rig, the company said.

Warwick Deep is the first in a three-well program on Hurricane's Lincoln and Warwick assets - the Greater Warwick Area.

Hurricane holds 50% interest in the GWA after Spirit Energy farmed-in to 50% of the Lincoln and Warwick assets in September 2018, committing to a five-phase work program targeting sanction of full field development in 2021.
