ExxonMobil Extends Rowan Relentless Charter

U.S. based drilling contractor Rowan Companies announced Monday that ExxonMobil has exercised the first two options for the drillship Rowan Relentless. The options will be used for operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico and have an expected duration of 30 days each.

The R-Class ultra-deepwater drillship has been under contract to ExxonMobil since September 2018. The supermajor has two remaining one-well options for the rig.
