Specialist firefighting knowledge, strategic support and equipment is to be provided by Chubb Fire & Security for Total E&P UK under a five-year contract. Chubb’s Offshore Marine division will deliver the renewed contract, which covers the operator’s Alwyn North, Dunbar, Elgin/Franklin, St Fergus, and future Shetland gas plant facilities. Chubb personnel are located on each of the assets as part of the core crew personnel to manage the maintenance and re-certification of essential life-saving equipment, including life rafts, escape nets, life jackets, immersion suits, breathing apparatus, gas detection equipment, fire extinguishers and suppression equipment.
